My Favourite Jedi

Here are my all-time favourite Jedi. They are both from the movies and from the computer games.

Picture Details
Obi-Wan Kenobi

Position Jedi Master, Jedi Council Member, Republic High General

Homeworld Unknown

Species Human

Gender Male

Height 5ft 10 1/2 In (1.79 meters)

Affiliation Jedi Order, Galactic Republic, Rebel Alliance

Portrayer Ewan McGregor (Episodes I-III)
Sir Alec Guinness (Episodes IV-VI)

Jedi Light-Saber Style Form III: Soresu Form III, the most defensive of all of the forms, was developed to counteract the advancing blaster technology throughout the galaxy. Most opponents that the Jedi faced during the prequel era carried blasters.

Form I: Shii-Cho Younglings, the Jedi initiate rank, first learn Form I before they begin a Padawan apprenticeship with a Jedi Master. Younglings are taught Shii-Cho first because of its simplicity and versatility.

Form IV: Ataru See Yoda

Fate Upon seeing Luke he sacrificed himself to Darth Vadar (formerly Anakin Skywalker) to allow the Falcon's crew to escape. Kenobi did not die entirely, however. In accordance with his prediction, he became a Force ghost that could guide and counsel the young Luke from afar. The spirit of Kenobi played a vital role in the Battle of Yavin.

Mace Windu

Position Jedi Master, Jedi Council Member

Homeworld Haruun Kal

Species Human

Gender Male

Height 1.88 meters (6 ft 2 in)

Affiliation Jedi Order, Galactic Republic

Portrayer Samuel L. Jackson

Jedi Light-Saber Style Form VII: Juyo / Vaapad The most challenging and demanding of all forms, which reflects anger back at the enemy, Form VII requires intense focus, high levels of skill, and mastery of other forms. In his fight with Palpatine, Mace Windu used Palpatine's own speed and hatred against him, reflecting it back against the Sith Lord and using it as his own power.

Fate Palpatine (Darth Sidious) unleashed force lighting (raw dark side energy) through Windu's body and hurtling him out the window of his office into the cityscape, where he would presumably be killed upon hitting the surface miles below.

Position Jedi Master, Council Member, Republic High General

Homeworld Unknown

Species Unknown

Gender Male

Height 0.66 meter (2 ft 2 in) (66 cm)

Affiliation Jedi Order, Galactic Republic

Portrayer Frank Oz (voice)

Jedi Light-Saber Style Yoda specializes in all forms including form I, II, III, IV, V, VI and VII.

Fate Yoda dies of sickness. Yoda is the first to die in peaceful means. With his final breaths, Yoda struggled to tell Luke his final words: "Luke. There is another Skywalker." Yoda then died and dissipated as he became one with the Force. Yoda, like Kenobi, became a Force ghost that could guide and counsel others.

Darth Revan

Position Jedi Knight, Dark Lord of the Sith

Homeworld Unknown

Species Human

Gender Male

Height Unknown

Affiliation Jedi, Old Republic, Sith

Portrayer Not applicable

Jedi Light-Saber Style Form II: Makashi Form II came about as a means of lightsaber-to-lightsaber combat. It is described as being very elegant, powerful, and requiring extreme precision, allowing the user to attack and defend with minimal effort, while his opponent tires himself out.

Form IV: Ataru The master practitioners of Form IV make extensive use of acrobatic maneuvers often thought physically impossible without the aid of the Force.

Form VII: Juyo / Vaapad See Mace Windu

Ancient Form: Jar'Kai The dual saber style of Jar'Kai permits a Jedi to fight with two lightsabers, one in each hand, as seen in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones when Anakin Skywalker dueled fallen Jedi Count Dooku. One of the blades in the wielder's hands is used for attacking while the other one is used for defending, such as parrying, or for more offensive power.

Fate Unknown. Revan left on the Ebon Hawk with T3-M4 and HK-47 on Malachor V, on the edge of the Unknown Regions.
